Original Items. One Set Only. From the end of the Victorian era, this is a parade Uniform Set of a 2nd Lieutenant in THE SUFFOLK REGIMENT, formerly known as the "12TH. REGIMENT OF FOOT" that was raised in 1685. This regiment saw service all over the Empire, including India, the West Indies, South Africa and of course in the Napoleonic Wars. The title 12th Regiment was dropped in the 1881 Childers Reforms, thereafter being known as the Suffolk Regiment. It saw service in the Boer War, world War One and World war Two under this name.
